Influence of weaning on swine adipose tissue lipolysis.

چکیده
Weaning of swine f rom a milk diet to a grain diet ( lower fat and protein) yielded a decrease in the epinephrine-s t imulated maximal l ipolyt ic rate as well as the sensitivity to epinephr ine in adipose tissue slices. The dietary inf luence was no t solely the caloric or fat con ten t of the diet since a similar lard-fort if ied diet with caloric and fat con ten t similar to the milk yie lded maximal l ipolyt ic rates and epinephr ine sensitivities that were in termedia te be tween the milk diet and the grain diet. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the context of lipid metabolism research in physical activity, lipolysis, lipolysis hormone regulation and the fate of lipolysis products in exercise, fatty acid transporters, some genes involved in lipid metabolism, effect of resistance activity on lipolysis, adaptations of adipose tissue due to physical activity, lipoproteins and apoproteins...
متن کاملCellular adaptations in fat tissue of exercise-trained miniature swine: role of excess energy intake.
This study examined the influence of energy expenditure and energy intake on cellular mechanisms regulating adipose tissue metabolism. Twenty-four swine were assigned to restricted-fed sedentary, restricted-fed exercise-trained, full-fed sedentary, or full-fed exercise-trained groups. After 3 mo of treatment, adipocytes were isolated and adipocyte size, adenosine A(1) receptor characteristics, ...
متن کاملEffects of age on lipogenesis and lipolysis in lean and obese swine.
The effects of age on lipogenic and lipolytic activities in several breeds of swine were investigated. Females from a contemporary line and genetically selected populations of lean and obese pigs were utilized. Subcutaneous adipose tissue samples were taken from the shoulder area of nonfasted animals at 28-day intervals from 3 to 6 months of age for determination of in vitro lipogenic, lipolyti...

متن کاملFat in flames: influence of cytokines and pattern recognition receptors on adipocyte lipolysis.
Adipose tissue has the largest capacity to store energy in the body and provides energy through the release of free fatty acids during times of energy need. Different types of immune cells are recruited to adipose tissue under various physiological conditions, indicating that these cells contribute to the regulation of adipose tissue. One major pathway influenced by a number of immune cells is ...
